Dungeon Mechanics
Dungeons are randomly generated every time the user walks in. Each dungeon consists of a grid of 100x100 (initially) squares, and each one of these maps can constitude a floor of the dungeon.
Dungeons are structured as a folder, containing:
- Entrance
- Floors
- Final Room
- A single map containing the Boss Room, Treasure Room, and Exit Room
- The player can walk to the Exit Room from the Boss Room and Treasure Room, but not the other way around
Whenever the player enters a Dungeon, they have 3 objectives:
- Locate the Boss
- Find the Treasure
The only objective they must complete is finding the exit. The other two are optional, but usually involve getting items and Pokemon that are rare to come across.
Types of Dungeons
Dark Cave
These dungeons are darkened, and require the use of Flash to see a bit further. These are a subtype of the "Fight the Boss" Dungeons.
Fight the Boss
The player must defeat a boss Pokemon in order to complete the dungeon. The boss Pokemon is usually a legendary Pokemon, or a Pokemon that is rare to come across.
In some quests, just seeing the boss will be enough.
Find the Treasure
This mode can be enabled by a quest or achievement, in which the player must find a special item inside the Dungeon
